I would like to roll back the firmware on my SE100 to v1.02 but the firmware page does not have a link to download. Could you pls provide me a link to download v1.02.

Older firmware versions are unavailable and firmware cannot be rolled back to previous versions.

I am sensing a slight change in sound signature after the update to latest firmware. I think your company should provide an option to roll back to old firmware if the end user does not like the sound signature or features in its latest firmware.

All of our players are tuned on the hardware level and the sound signature is set at production. Astell&Kern does not and has not ever changed the sound signature on one of our players via a firmware update. We have in the past changed preset EQ settings, but never the sound signature as owners purchase the players for a set sound signature. We do not believe in altering this after someone purchases.

You may be right but i would not be able to validate the claim for myself unless i had the option to roll back to the older version of the firmware.

New firmware out today. Includes 1TB SDXC support and new whitelisted apps (7Digital, Apple Music, Audiobooks from Audible, BBC iPlayer Radio, Foobar2000, IDAGIO, Last.FM, Onkyo Music and Player FM). No Roon yet:frowning2:

Apple Music worked fine for me. Just downloaded from https://apkpure.com and installed as per other apps. However, I no longer have an Apple Music sub and can't see my library even though I have a few purchases and iTunes Match sub. Anyone know what's up with this?

Hi @JasonNYC,

I’ve just installed the 1.20 firmware and I’m looking after a procedure on how to install Apple Music on my device.

The AK website firmware page is outdated (firmware 1.17 is the last one displayed)
The Open App instructions page is also missing new Apps and instructions.

Installing Apple Music is the same procedure as installing any of the other apps listed on the Open App instructions page. There is no special instructions for Apple Music app.

Running version 1.19 and received an error message when trying to download the latest version of the firmware. Indicates check wifi and battery, Device is fully charged and connected to the network.

Any guidance ?

They a soft reset. While on, press and hold the power button for 10 - 15 seconds until the player shuts down. Press the power button again to restart.

Once restarted, try the update again.
