That's crazy lol, they replaced the original glass panel with carbon fiber too, seems like they did a very neat job.Just spotted this over at NP Audio
Finally a 4.4mm SP2000
Would prefer keeping 3.5mm and replacing the 2.5mm instead, but not sure if the board could be cut there. Very cool nonetheless, hope to see more in the future.have a look here
this is my sp2k; ordered the mod from Nayparm. While on the topic, I came here to ask if anyone got the very earliest firmwares for the aforementioned. Would really like to try the exploit to get di.fm to work on itJust spotted this over at NP Audio

Hello it's been a few years since your post but I'm having the exact same issue on my sp2000 only on DSD files 64 128 256 it doesn't matter if it's on the SD card or on internal storageI've really been enjoying the SP2000 a lot. Last night I started getting a strange issue where the sound is cutting in and out. I did a factory reset, but the problem is still there. I'm wondering if the 2.5mm jack is actually coming loose. I've only had it for a few months and I'm not putting undue strain on it.
It doesn't seem like the jack though. The issue isn't affected by movement. A track starts out fine but then it starts to stutter, and then there is no sound. Sometimes the playback progress indicator is going, and sometimes it completely stops. When it stops, pressing play/pause doesn't affect it.
Has anyone had this kind of problem?
What is procedure like for sending the unit in for repair at AK. Do they have a service center in the U.S.?
Thanks!

There is a dedicated SP3000 thread where questions regarding the SP3000 would be more appropriate - https://www.head-fi.org/threads/astell-kern-a-ultima-sp3000.965000/Hello,
I do need a advice, i have bought astell&kern sp3000 from second hand, i don't have a warranty. Issue i am facing is touch screen: it does work ok for some time but if any oil from fingers smudges stays on a screen it stops responding, if i clean it with the cloth it works (i need to do every minute ir so), it looks like touch screen is super sensitive. Hiw can it be fixed if it is possible and hiw much would it cost. Or is there any other solution or it is different issue. Maybe some1 has old firmware file i could try to roll back? Regards, Aurimas
