Will confirm what version of Android the final retail firmware is shipping with.

Release date will be 1st to 2nd week of October worldwide. Due to shipping, some regions receive it sooner. In North America, we hold on sale date until all of our dealers receive stock where other regions usually allow dealers to sell them as soon as they receive them, which is why North America release dates are usually 5 - 7 days later than other regions.

Slightly random comment here, but I noticed the specs listed an optical out on the 3.5mm port, and thought “hey, A&K have added optical”. Then I looked over the specs of their other players and realized they also have it listed for all the A&Ultima line (with the exception of SP1000M) and also KANN line (with the exception of original Kann).

I’ve only ever owned the SR15 (from A&Norma) and SE180 (A&Futura) from their line-up, so never realized.

Looks amazing! For the first time, I'm thinking of dropping $3k on a DAP. That being said, does it run Apple Music natively? I happen to love Apple Music over any other streaming service. And, have such a big library that moving to another service is unimaginable.

That is entirely up to Apple if they decide to cut support for certain versions of Android. As SP3000 will launch with Android 11, apps should support that version for at least the next 5 years, possibly longer.
