FYI, next firmware update for the KANN Ultra is expected tomorrow, Thursday, 12/4 around mid-day Korea time. Will be in the middle of the night here in the US and early morning in Europe. I will update if it gets pushed back.
Why are you writing another change? - This is the first update since the premiere, unless I missed something?
Tell us what changes are included in tomorrow's update, what can we expect and what can we check and test?

You should post the changelog to give serious information.

In Europe/Poland, there is already an announcement about updating the Kann Ultra software from version 1.0 to version 1.05. - 628MB
After turning on the DAP, this message appears.

There is no information about this update on the official A&K website.
After clicking, the update will be downloaded and installed automatically, it takes about 10 minutes and ends with a DAP restart.
After install Kann Ultra works.
- I'm checking some of the comments and requests for changes in the UI we reported - were included in this amendment.

Apologies for not responding sooner. The only UI update is to the Bluetooth codec setting screen as outlined in the release notes.

System stability improvements include some of the reported noise and other issues when using DAR and some issues with the LED color display when switching DAR on/off, and issues with playback of CUE sheets.

Other recommendations from previous posts over the last month are being looked at for the next firmware update, most likely sometime in February.

It’s great to have Roon now! I remain very impressed with this player. It is a joy to interact with and sounds great.

Jason, I notice one small problem with Roon (as I previously highlighted on the Acro CA1000 thread): while using Roon, pressing the physical “next track” button actually skips a few tracks rather than playing the next track. Using the screen to skip tracks works properly.

I just tested this and it only skips one track forward or back for me when i use the physical buttons. I think you need to give Roon a minute to buffer the initial playback. When I first started Roon and played a track then press it, i did notice a pause, then a skip of a few tracks. Once I let the first song play for a minute, I am able to move forward and backward just one track at a time, no skipping. I know this was an issue on some previous devices, but should have been fixed in previous firmware updates.

I don't have a CA1000 here, only a CA1000T, but will test on that.

For context, my setup:

Intel NUC 11 running Roon ROCK wired via ethernet
5ghz AC Wi-Fi
W-Fi access point two rooms away

Hmm, it’s not doing that for me. However, I just tried it again with the display on, and it skips one track as it should. When the screen is off it skips several tracks.
I confirmed the same issue with screen off. I have submitted the issue to the software team and also let them know about CA1000 again.

Can anyone confirm the wifi speed the Ultra dap us able to achieve?

My se300 only hit max 56mbps ... such disappointment, occasionally affecting my tidal playback.
Got the ultra, took my chance hoping it perform better than my se300 ...

- wifi speed hit 433mbps (thank god)
- cpu is so much faster
- using tidal to usb output to external dac finally no issue. (On se300 there's glitches when mqa is player on external dac)
- much dynamic sounding than se300, more like sp3k sound signature.

Overall this should be what se300 suppose to be in the first place.

Hello. I have a question.

Which has more power (sound pressure?), the dc mode of the fiio m17 or the super gain mode of the kann ultra is more powerful ?

In the specs,
m17 (dc mode) is 3000mW,32ohm
and kann ultra is 16Vrms(8000mW,32ohm? I don't know if this is correct).
The kann ultra seems to have more power by far, but what is the reality?

If the m17 dc mode has more power, which unit determines the power?

I'm new to audio, so I don't really understand how these things work.

Thank you very much.
