Does the SP-3000 sound better than the KANN Ultra?

Battery dropped 5% in 3 minutes via LDAC. Not great...

EDIT: the app is showing a battery level 7% higher after I connected via USB-C- seems like battery life estimates are a random number generator at present. I am disappointed that A&K did not consider it a necessity to include a case.

While the device is almost entirely made out of plastic, this doesn't mean that it doesn't need to be better protected.
A belt clip would have been appreciated, much like what the Qudelix-5K had.

After a number of requests, AK will produce a case for the HB1. It will be available as a separate purchase and be available in January. More info will be available next week.

Would also be good to add some sort of volume indicator. I nearly blew my eardrums out- the iOS app doesn't have a notification bar status window like the Android app and I did not suspect volume would be at nearly the maximum level.

There are plenty of lights available that can be used for the purpose..

EDIT: great to hear about the case, what is not great is that it will cost more on top of the RRP of £259.
Again, in my opinion a case should have been in the box, not a chargeable extra.

The easiest thing to do would be to update the iOS app to be in line with the Android version.
The issue occurred as I moved from bluetooth playback to USB-C playback- the volume automatically went to 100% (I was playing through Roon Arc)

Hi, anyone did a battery test on Kann Ultra? my community praised this DAP so highly that even one who is not easy to please praised it. I have not had the chance to visit a local store for a listening test though.

According to manufacturer's specifications:

• Capacity
  8,400mAh 3.8V Li-Polymer
• Charge Time
  about 3.5hours (PD 3.0 Charger)
• Playback Time
  about 11hours (Standard: FLAC, 16bit, 44.1kHz, Vol.50, LCD Off, Low Gain)

Yes, I confirm these battery life times.
With higher gain it is about 9 hours
If you use Kann Ultra in LineOut mode on a balanced output with BT enabled to control song switching, e.g. A&K PA10 - operating time 11 hours
When you use Kann Ultra only via BT on TWS headphones, the working time is about 11 hours
With the DAR function turned on, approximately 7 hours

There is 1.5 reviews online and no real comparisons against similarly priced DAPs, that must mean something. I was very interested in one against M17 as Fiio is less expensive and best DAP I have ever heard but no luck.

Our review was delayed because we received a preproduction demo and we were unable to run the firmware update, but once we received a replacement demo, I was able to give it a good evaluation. Please add a "Volume Lock" Function in the App. Especially in USB Mode and sometimes in my Pocket the Volume Wheel is suddenly moving and changes the Volume. Thank you!
