I am stll disapponted that no one give use the possibility to have two SD slots

I second that frustration, especially for AK since they did it with the original KANN. And since the SP2K has 512GB internal memory, seems they could alleviate the issue by putting 1tb in the Alpha. They have no excuse.

It's actually not that clunky compared to transportable DAPs with similar driving power. Its about the same size length/width wise as the SP1000m and with the same thickness as the LPGT. So it is a very small form factor with the power to drive large headphones.
some time ago i tried to handle the previous kann which is the same width and it was as good as it was big :) but the idea of having something like the hiby link would be nice

Maybe 5-8 years down the line, we will start to see ultra portable DAPs!

At the current price for 1tb we can buy a second DAP . Price is dropping but still to high for a card. Currently I happily use two 512Gb and without almost any app they are close to be full. AK but even with the R8 is the same as Fiio when after the M11 a lot of people were waiting a good new dap with two slots and little bit more update version of android and ... nothing happened

Which DAP can you buy for $250? I would be perfectly happy to spend a couple hundred extra to have a DAP with 1tb on board and 1tb in the slot.
hidizs AP80?.. or making an an effort Ibasso DX160. In Europe the best price is around 300euro for 1tb sandisk...and of course on board something more than 64Gb like the Kann will worth the extra
money

You will not find a portable device with 1TB on board for at least another 1 - 2 years if not longer. The NAND flash chips used in portable devices are not readily currently available in capacities above 256GB and all of the portable devices with 512GB internal storage are using two 256GB chips. Also there is a significant price difference in microSD cards and NAND chips for the same capacity. It's also why smartphones max out at 512GB internal storage.

Are there any DAPs besides the SP2000 that have 512GB internal storage?

As for multiple microSD card slots, Android OS is extremely buggy with more than one microSD card slot, which is why you see the majority of DAP manufacturers that use Android OS only include 1 microSD card slot.

Having a FIIO X5III l live with bugs...but never had a problem with the two slots. The notorius problem was with Lexar cards

On another topic, but do you guys plan on adding an easier way to swap between amp gains on the KANN Alpha? It would be so much more convenient to be able to control it from the drag down menu

I will pass this suggestion onto our dev team.

Sounds perfectly logical.

With the imminent arrival of the Kann Alpha... I would like (it would be great) for each of the owners of this DAP to make a list of the 3-5 IEM that they find most compatible by the synergy with the source and a description of 1-2 lines of the reasons why they consider it... I think it would help future DAP buyers a lot, and me in particular, as I only own one IEM that I love (Dunu-DK-3001pro), and I may have to look for something to plug in our dear Kann... Thank you.

A18S and Thummim both play insanely well out of it

He's very grateful. However, I forgot to specify that if possible they were not such a big hole for my pocket ... 🤪
