Astell & Kern - Bad Service?
Jun 23, 2015 at 11:19 PM Post #33 of 40
The best way I have found for an initial contact is to call them on the telephone:

(949) 336-4540
(949) 336-4541

iRiver USA is located in Irvine, CA so ring during pacific time business hours.

Best of luck.  Those are the two numbers that I tried for a week and no one ever picked up, Pacific time or any other time.  But that was 2 months ago, so maybe they've improved things.

No such luck. I've tried several times each day for the past 2 weeks. Emails and calls go unanswered. Is there any other route for contact?

About a month ago I was able to reach someone and they helped me. But now I can't get thru to them and I'm left with an AK240 that doesn't work.

Obtaining so much money from customers and not returning simple calls, I feel is totally unacceptable in today's world. Looking through some of the posts here, it looks like AK sells their products, and once sold ($$$) don't want to look back ever again.

To me it looks like a foreign company without adequate support in the U.S., or growing pains.

Hi Vicegrips, i too experienced a similar situation. I purchased an AK120ii and while transferring files on the device it froze on me and would not boot up anymore pass the welcome screen "A" spins around endlessly. I tried reaching out to iriver customer support, webmail iriver support and the one number which you have in California with negative results. Not one person would respond back to me. I even attempted to reach someone at Astell & Kerns Facebook page.....Nothing!! i finally contacted my Amazon Visa and filed a complaint against the company that sold me the product in Korea. With 4 months of back and forth, my Amazon came through and honored me a refund. Still today no one has responded. I purchased the Sony ZX2 instead. P.s the company that sold me the product was insisting on a warranty claim..... "I dont think so" with such awful customer support.

Wish I could find someone to change the battery in my KANN. It overheats badly but that seems to be the only problem I've noticed with it. It works okay when I first turn it on, but then it heats up rapidly. to the point I cannot touch it. Looks like contacting the comps y is useless.

We do offer battery replacement service for a small fee. You would need to send your player into your local authorized service center for replacement. If you want to PM me the country you are located in, I can direct you to the correct contact for your region.
