@JasonNYC
Hi, I'm not sure if this question has been asked before. I wonder if it is advisable to keep the CA1000 plugged into a PD power supply for playing music? in the past, AK DAPs seem to be always running from battery so that kept it plugged in will always draining the battery and charging at the same time - which some advises not the best way for battery health.

Fiio M17 on the other hand clearly has a switch to cut off the battery supply when the PSU is plugged in, which is very assuring to say the least.

Thanks.
All of AK's DAPs and the CA1000 stop charging the battery once fully charged, even if you leave it plugged in. No need to worry about keeping any of them plugged in all the time. No effect to battery if you leave plugged in.

That's a big plus, I think apple called it Adaptive Charging.

just to have a follow-up on my pursuit of the susvara with CA1000 - i finally got the SUS today :relieved:

really a monster! even more demanding than DCA stealth! i tried using the 4.4mm cable of hekse with my newly acquired SUS on the CA1000. I could get very satisfying performance at high gain (not the super one) at vol. 115. for comparison, I'm listening to utopia at vol. 65 only. anyway, still not yet max out the CA1000 and I'm already very happy about the performance. just as Nogoodnamesleft advised before. :relaxed:
Had the same experience. Just received my AK ACRO CA1000 today and plugged in the Susvaras on high gain volume about 2/3 up (100-110) out of 150. Holy smokes. I don't think I am able to hear all the subtle differences that some other people can detect, but this sounded might fine. Was listening to Carl Anderson's album Wolftown and I did not feel that the Susvaras were held back. The bass was quite powerful and satisfying with wonderful details in the mid and highs. I am impressed.
Now I need to find a case that can protect the CA1000 for travel. Have not found anything so far.

Someone needs to make a carry case for this.

But not only the Sound off the CA1000 is very good .
Also streaming of Tidal and Qobuz , including offline storage of the music library,
Storage of ripped CD collection , remote control using I-Pad with A&K Connect ,
everything works perfectly. Top class !

Have u had any problems with wireless connection cutting out in 5 to 15 minutes, in your experience? Some A&K owners have been complaining about such issues unresolved.

I had ordered a case to try it out for the CA1000 and it came today. It is not perfect, but will strike the right compromise for me between being protective, but not too bulky. It is the "Case for Andis Professional T-Outliner Beard/Hair Trimmer, Model GTO 04710/04603/ 04775, with Mesh Pocket for Attachment Set" . It measures 8.3 x 5.6 x 2.3 inches ( I put a little bit of foam on either side of the long side and It works quite well).
This pelican case looks like a proper fit based on internal measurements.
