Hello,

I am using USB out from SP3000 to M Scaler then BNC to Hugo TT2.

I am a bit confused on the setup of SP3000 with zero knowledge with this setting. Please see below if my setup are correct to get the best sound out of SP3000.

Thank you,

1. Pic below. USB Audio. I checked on DoP or should I do PCM. Do I need to to check on Enable software decoding of MQA?

2. Pic below. USB Mode. I was thinking I should pick DAC Input (Output music through USB DACconnected device.)?

How do the Sp3000/T devices compare to other Roon Ready bridge type devices? I’m currently connecting my 3000T to a Burson headphone amp and using Roon. Just curious if there is a less portable (but better sounding) device to permanently partner with a DACless amp that I can stream Roon to.

For example, would a transport (which? Maybe SP3000? ) to Hugo chord 2 to amp be substantially better than using the SP3000? Is there an all in one to consider? Audiolab 9000N? Eversolo A8?

The system with SP3000T sounds pretty damn good to my ears, but just exploring possibilities….. 😁

Another issue with SP3000T, after a day of use after a reboot it struggeled to refresh the library on sd card and went into boot loop, after a while it booted up and couldnt read the sdcard anymore that worked just fine for a day.

The card is a sandisk 256gb. It works perfectly on pc and from Lp6ti and p6pro. SP3000T cant read the 512gb card I have in my LP6ti either.

Any solutions? Ideas? I understand that there might be compatibility issues or wrong formatting, but I really dont get why a card that worked perfectly for a day stopped working out of nowhere. No updates installed (at least not to my knowing).

The SP3000 and Utopia are so good together.

I own the OG utopia and the sp3000. Its nice but I feel the hd800s is a better option for the sp3000. The soundstage of the hd800s and the detail retrieval for the sp3000 is just on another level. if you get a chance, I would strongly recommend testing it with the sp3000.

How about the lack in bass
Irretrievable. How much you notice it depends on what you're listening to.

The Utopia also has superior dynamics and body to the HD800s on the SP3000. I owned the HD800S before I sold it on.

Interesting. The bass is enough to satisfy my ears. can you please provide a few songs I can use to hear the difference please.

What about Utopia stage on sp3k?
not as good as the hd800s IMO. To my ears the hd800s is give you a sound like you are at the concert due to the amazing sound stage. The utopia provides a sound that feel like you are listening to the artist in a semi-small room.

I agree the HD800s and the SP3000 are an unbelievable combo, great synergy and even though I have tried both the OG and new utopia I feel the hd800s is the combo to beat.
