If you’re referring to me I was prompted of a FW update and downloaded it. Firmware version 1.37CM.

I do find it weird that no one has talked about.
1.37 was released on August 26.

The September update was delayed slightly to early.next week.

@JasonNYC ,
any plan to add some DB levels or points on the EQ ?

Any Dap I have had has , at least , 10 db level or points up and down on the internal equalizer ( if not more ) ; why limit it to +/- 5 here ?

It would be useful and very welcome, we as sp3000 owners do not have access to any III parties android app besides the 10 apps listed/preloaded for streaming , and to any III party eq app too

Could you please desist from using the plural “we” when making these comments and requests. I am perfectly happy as things are. If you want what all your other DAPs have had why not go back to using one of your other DAPs?

Hey..there 's some other owners/users ( other then me ) that asked explicitly for eq options and alternatives ..not sure what's your problem here , I wasn't referring to you or quoting you in particular in fact... please just ignore me if reading someone that is asking info for features or software updates disturbs you..

No I was just be facetious and obnoxious. I think you would be better advised to completely ignore me. Let’s see what response you get from Jason.

Adding some levels on EQ is hardly any bad for anyone and anyone would be able to eq +/-5 as always .. having less of them is less customization might be quite limiting for someone

Ps Considering EQ a base customization for a Dap as all of Daps are carrying it : +/-10 db or levels for frq or north of it..so i find a bit rare nowadays a limit to +/- 5

Currently no plans, but I will pass the suggestion onto the dev team.

Has anyone reported the issue when tapping on a song in your tracks listing in Qobuz sometimes causes the track list to jump scroll up and often will scroll your list of songs all the way down towards the bottom of your list.

As an example in Qobuz in my favorites tracks list. I press a song in the middle of my my library's Playlist and sometimes it will cause the list of tracks to scroll up and dart down towards the bottom of your list of songs. It's pretty annoying. I did not have this issue before updating to the current last system update on my SP3000.

Thanks!

No reports of issues. What version of the Qobuz app are you using? Are you experiencing it in other apps or specific to the Qobuz app?

Made the jump from an ibasso 300Max and 320Max, finally to an AK DAP, SP 3000 PT
  • I regret making the jump from 300 to 320Max, it seems my ears and the music genre I prefer simply like AK Chips or I guess the tuning from AK. And I guess I could have saved a bundle by keepng the 300MAX or just straight to AK.
  • Quite a difference to go from an open android device to a closed one - which is a bit tricky. I didn't understand that only a specific set of apps can be downloaded and side loaded, nothing else will work. I thought side loading alone will behave like a regular android device, but I was wrong, for example I couldn't get the Sirrius XM app to work.
  • Quite power hungry - as I see the battery level going down quite a bit the moment is full throttle - but I love the one cable thing though, no two cable to recharge
  • No regrets on the Ibasso - but for now the AK will prevail, although not really sure if a platinum version was good fiscal move :) - because it really doesn't show ...except during power up, the splash screen..
Now my humble positive impressions.
  • Very polished experience right out of the box - it is very carefully curated and I have to expect the limits.
    • A set of applications will only work, sideloading or not which I was not aware. I thought sideloading will give you the latest app version and also apps that it is not listed, but I was wrong. It is not listed it won't work.
  • The sound - well, it is definitely more accessible now and I can hear things in the background, it is stunning ...like some folks said, being in the center of it all...like hearing a pin needle drop, astonishing!
  • Wifi and bluetooth work well, no issues - I was worried with wifi, hence I was leaning with the PT version in case the hardware has changed underneath - just a newer production...regardless, despite only being 5.0 it works great on my Fios Fiber connection
    • Love the codec selection ability for bluetooth - nothing hidden simply part of the menu option
  • I am using an ODL cable and then the AK Odyssey - I mean can it get better? - I feel spoiled and grateful for this combination, and so I think it was meant to be that I ended up in that set up.
Well done AK! Definitely a very enjoyable experience - from the get go, looking forward this DAP to be a keeper...
