I am interested in how it sounds with bluetooth and noise cancelling for when I am on a long plane journey for example please. I'm not expecting it to compete with top-end wired IEMS. Any feedback much appreciated
IMHO Solitaire T has great passive isolation and sounds great on its own in HQ mode. I almost never use the active noise cancelling as it sounds noticeably worse to me. I have used the Solitaire T only in passive mode connected to SP3000 and it sounds great, better definition and more spacious sounding than in Bluetooth HQ mode, but when travelling HQ mode is the perfect combination of sound quality and convenience. SP3000 comes with me but I just use it when I arrive to my destination paired with Monarch Mk3, not so much with Solitaire T.

The Solitaire T was originally designed as a portable wired headphone. The Bluetooth capabilities were added later on. In BT mode with ANC on I would say it sounds good but not great.

The SP3000 is perfect with iem’s. 6.3 volts is plenty of power for them. Headphones is another story. Although it will drive Focal and Meze headphones, an external amp will definitely be beneficial, especially with planar headphones.
Please tell me what is the dap that dont benefits by using an external amp with planars

Hi Denis, good inquiry. Amps always add an increase in sound quality. Granted I haven’t listened to every headphone. What I was getting at was ability to “drive” vs. sufficient power. Better sound quality is a different topic. But they are all related and do overlap. Peace.

Trying to setup a custom EQ using the advanced EQ function on the SP3000. Do I assume each frequency band is 'peaking' since there aren't options for low-shelf/high-shelf?

Yep , I've yet asked for a change before for a future firmware update

Apologies if this is repetitive. I'm considering purchasing the 3000T and was wondering: does the use of streaming apps like Apple Music get compromised in any way or is it utilizing all the capabilities of the hardware? I don't mind that it's not open android, I just want to make sure it's taking full advantage of the dac/amp/tubes etc.

Why do you prefer Apple Music? Not trying to be combative, I am really curious. I tried both, Apple and Tidal, and for me anyway, Tidal seemed the better choice.
