They’re saying it’s going to be mid October when the SP3K are shipped to US/UK/EU so I guess it’ll be just after that. I saw a few pages back on this thread that someone in SK had already received theirs. When are we going to start seeing some proper reviews on this new unit?

I have a different question. I understand that putting a browser on a DAP is not really a good idea. The device isn't designed to browse the web and therefore it does a poor job compared to a smartphone.
Trying to access public wifi I've had situations with DAPs that the splash screen of the wifi network to agree to their TOS required to be loaded in a browser. Will the device have that in mind since installing a browser from the APK store is not possible?
Bump. Anyone got the answer to this?

When you connect to a wifi access point where you need to log in or accept terms like wifi in a hotel, a message appears in the notification bar. If you click on the notification, it opens a window to connect.

That solution works for me. As long as it works consistently.

SP3000 vs SP2000Cu
Pros:
- fantastic new UI, currently the best on the market,
- the software works very quickly and smoothly,
- great quality screen,
- the performance is quite stunned,
- double tap,
- about 10% more power,
- even more black background,
- the soundstage and arrangement of the sounds are identical, as is the timbre with small nuances (more subbass, less midbass, the midrange shifted back less with less detail),
- 4.4 mm,
- illuminated potentiometer indicating song sampling,
- DAR,
-
Minuses:
- increased size (stationary users may find it an advantage),
- weight increased,
- the difference in sound quality is minimal,
- price
- there is still no option to extend the display of the cover for more than 3 minutes
- many may find the sound too delicate despite the beautifully marked subbass
- only 256 GB - we have 512 in the SP2000

Uniqe Melody Mest MK2Thanks for providing that. What headphones or IEMs were used?
About the only thing I’m worried about is that green case…I thought it was a classy olive green. Easily changed I know but it’s nearly as bad as that horrible yellow colour they supplied with the SP2000, What? Are they colour blind?

each to their own I guess, just means I’ll need to buy another case for mine, no drama really
perfect new information - does this also work on older DAPs like SP2000 and SP2000T ?Sorry, I missed this.

I‘m asking because i had the same issue this summer on a campground with a public wifi but with access code and i did not get my SP2000T connected…
At the end i used my iPad with the USB-Dongle

I realize that a lot of people use IEM with their dap players exclusively. I use mostly full-size headphones: Meze empyrean, Heddphone, ZMF atrium and ZMF Verite closed. I use iem’s about 25% of the time. I would expect for this much money to be able to drive all of these headphones properly, they aren’t Susvara’s. My 300 max can drive all of them, my A&K CA 1000 does, and my Shanling M9 definitely does. It is expected these days that all flagship players have at least 800 milliwatts or more. The 6.3 V output number on the SP3K ( same as the original Kann btw) worry me and have me seriously considering going for the new HIby RS8, which I get class A and AB power on top of it. Plus many people at SoCal said that they definitely preferred the RS8 to the SP 3000. I am divided… even money. Similar release date.
