To me yes, I found the presentation a bit too flat until I turned it on.

Basically! I am going back and forth toggling it on and off. With it off it sounds like the music is being restrained by physical borders. With it turned on the entire presentation has more room to breathe.

Interesting, can’t really understand why you’d want more screen real estate being used. The buttons work well for faster navigation though, so I guess there’s that. Not a big deal overall but it’s a little annoying for me. It squishes the Spotify UI and it doesn’t look too impressive.

Shanling have the floating button, gestures or standard navigation as options. Surely that's what people meant as a UI change 'an option' for their preference as opposed to just delete other peoples preference in favour of their own

Although my files on sd card are upsampled to 16fs pcm with PGGB, I prefer the DSD DAR for the streamed files. Great feature. I also like the double tap wakeup. I wish you could have the screen always on when playing with a charger attached.

SP2000 is definitely Class A on based how warm it gets when playing music. SP3000 is definitely Class A as well

Had both for a couple of days before shipping SP2000T off to a new owner. SP3K is indeed a worthy upgrade in both SQ and usability in my opinion. SP3K sound quality is a wholesale improvement to my ears. I thought SP2KT sounded veiled and flat in both SS or tube modes by comparison.

No gain setting with SP3000. That's only with the Kann line IIRC

Oh I see, this is my first time having a DAP without gain setting. Thank you for the confirmation.
