No, I never tried to boot it again with the light on once i hit ok to shut down. My issue was waiting to make sure it shut down, while waiting for the light to disappear so that I can store into the pelican case it lives in when not in use. I’m glad that this issue was resolved for me.

Thank you for the thorough review. I was curious: you mentioned that you used a variety of IEMs and headphones. Was there a pairing that you felt had particularly good synergy?
My experience has been that I thought it brought out the best in any IEM I connected, with the caveat of imprecise audio memory with my SP2000. Only with powre hungry headphones like the Expanse, it fell behind. While still enjoyable, the addition of the Cayin C9 noticeably improved it.
What do you mean by "imprecise audio memory"?

Sorry, should have worded it better. I was referring to my audio memory. I find it impossible for me to make a detailed comparison between 2 items unless I can switch back and forth between within a few seconds. The memory is more of an overall impression of enjoyment, cohesion and so forth, rather than the bass was a little better or so.

Also strange why they didn't go to 4.2.0 non beta as stock offer

I‘ve used 4.2.0 (final non-beta) for 2 days and it’s running perfectly fine.
I know
Have been using it before the fw update
Just wondering why A&K is keeping outdated software in their repository

@JasonNYC is there a chance that we can get PanoScrobbler as a download option on the SP3000. I understand that a lot of apps might not want to implement scrobbling. Even though I think Roon and maybe Qobuz natively do. But either way that still leaves the built in player. PanoScrobbler would allow us to scrobble our music via a single app and it would also have offline scrobbling available.

Enjoying my CU, but seem to have ran into some sort of battery drain issue this am. Battery was showing as 30% but it was dropping ~2% per minute for some reason.

Was it scanning your sd card for the first time or downloading lots of streaming service playlists?

If not, I'd reboot and charge to 100% and watch it closely. Battery drain is high if the display is on all the time btw. but still reasonable.

No SD card, I'm just using internal currently. My music are all local files so streaming wouldnt be the issue.

It persisted across a reboot, so charging now and seeing if it changes. Could just be the battery requiring calibration out of the box.

I barely got 15 minutes off 30% and it was oddly warm whereas I had no issues. Fingers crossed.

Sorry to hear that. This shouldn't be the experience with a new TOTL DAP. I would give it another day, shut down for an hour or so and charge it fully while turned off. Then back on. If the problem persists I would exchange it to a new one.

I already have a 1AM2 😂 So not much loss.

*Edit 1* Seems better now, but I had about 8% drop in 20 minutes of listening.

*Edit 2* Still consistently in the 7%/8% for 20 minutes. Seems high even if battery calibration is required.

As long as it improves, keep on trying. 7-8% while screen is on? How is the brightness setting?

Screen off, unless checking in 10 minute intervals than off again. Brightness is probably between 10-25%
