Also, the LED indicator is always RED when connected as USB DAC. I have it set to show LED for what is playing, does it skip that setting while being used as a USB DAC?
The LED indicator always stays red in USB DAC mode and does not change color depending on the bit rate being outputted. The LED indicator only indicated bit rate on tracks playing from internal memory or microSD card.

Hi Guys,

I really need your help cause I'm really losing my marbles trying to figure out if my SP2000T has an issue.

On twister 6 the reviewer mentions the volume level he is using on IEMs and it's between 37-59 and full sized cans between 60-80. The I IEMs I have are the VE Elysium and Monarch Mk2 which are not hard to drive at all and to get to a level of about 85DB my volume needs to be between 95-105 on the wheel. If I drop the volume to the levels the reviewer is using it's extremely low. Now either my entire perception of volume is whack and the reviewer actually listens to music at whisper level or this unit has an issue of some kind. At 95-105 shouldn't this be driving full sized cans to loud volumes? I got mine from the UK, is there some kind of limiter on this version compared to the US version like Sony did with their DAPs?

Im heading back to Mozambique in two weeks and I really don't see how this would be able to drive the ZMF veritas, which I read one reviewer saying they sounded excellent on them.

Thank you in advance.
What mode are you using? Tube mode has less power output than op-amp mode or hybrid mode, so you would have a difference in volume if you were just using tube mode.

How loud do you listen? 95 - 105 would not be unusual for an IEM if you tend to listen at higher volumes.

Hi Jason, thank you for your reply, I listen to hybrid. A fellow headphier sent me a PM saying that he also listens at these volumes and it’s normal, which dissipated my fears. I was just worried because I read of a few listening at 30-60 which to me is really low to have any enjoyment at all. Kind regards

Hello all
The more I read about the SP2kT the more I like it. I currently have the Cayin N8 and, as many say, the tube makes the difference, especially when I listen through my EE Evos with my bespoke cable from Ian at Cosmic Cables.
My question is this please: Am I right to expect that the SP2kT should deliver a step up in SQ and functionality compared to the N8 or would the N8ii be a better bet? I listen mainly to classical/opera and 80s/90s new romantix electronic, with a side interest in Pink Floyd and Fleetwood Mac.

Has anyone tried the new AK PA10 amp with their SP2000T? I ordered one to try it out with a few of my DAPs. Curious without a dedicated line out setting how to set it up. I assume just max out the volume of the SP2000T?
You can set line out but only in opamp mode. Line out does not function in hybrid or tube mode.

Hello, what do you think of the sp2000t and Focal mg set as the first choice, I am also looking at the Fostex TH-900 MK2, the denon 7200, Meze Audio 109 Pro, HIFIMAN ARYA. I listen to 70s soul, bossa nova, samba, thank you

I tried N8ii and SP 2000T, I love SP 2000 T more, perhaps it is just a matter of taste. The mid is much better.
