Cayin was a money no subject dap but yet it wasn't so money no subject experience in real world unfortunately.
I had better experience with sp2000 copper. But I have a hate and love with aka as after I heard the sp2 000 vegas it made me realize how bad copper is in comparison. Ss is too analytical the gold vegas is like 1z in sound but better

Now we have the T that looks like the onyx version. No experience with onyx I have no clue how it sounds.

I am still puzzled why 4 x 9068 instead of a dual 9038 pro

I also wonder if the terathlon technology will be applied to streaming apps sound?

At 2400 usd that's phenomenal for ak. Some what now very affordable flagship prices finally.

I don't think the SP2000t is the next level of the SP2000. I am interested in the 2000t but want to see what TOTL is up their sleeves.

I’m looking forward to this one. All the different listening modes could make it a very versatile player assuming they sound different. Whether it’ll win me over the r2r stuff I’m not sure, but I plan to try it and find out for myself.

Yes according to specs its only a plating yet it sounds tremendously different from the copper version. SS and gold vegas are closer in sound then copper. But the gold one still shown more musical and warmer hint in the sound then SS. SS was more analytical and cold, while gold was in my opinion the best sweetest sound that all sp2000 should sound like. Yea ala 1z signature lol


Copper has disappointed me dramatically I am still morning about it lol

So, as I expected it. The Tube mode is running the DAC as a single ended source. This diagram further explained that in SE mode, only 2 DAC out of 4 will be utilized. It will then go into differential IC chip, which appears to be a BurrBrown of some kind ? Could be whatever, and then running into balanced mode.

The only supreme mode is balanced out with opamp, that utilize all 4 DAC and 4 active opamps
Not totally sure how hybrid is being utilized here. But I would be guessing that the Korg Tube is and will always be used in the first input stage directly after the DAC analog signals. So, this enable the use of it being hybrid, tube input and opamp output. But as long as tube mode is enabled, there will only be 2X DAC being enabled , the power will be reserved to run the Korg tube. There may or not be battery differences in discharge rate

1, can you adjust sound in modes,, kinda a blending eq,, i know hybrid mode little of all, but can sound be adjusted or you just choose type amps and player does work, not talking about eq,,,,

2, will this player, yet to be determined, be at same sp2000 level or higher,,, sq only, omitting new features chips etc,,, sq only

Good enough for me. hahahaha
If its not the same cost though, very doubtful it's the same sound quality.
Has A&K ever had a device that over performs relative to cost? I can't think of one off-hand.

Pardon me for not following the marketing advertisement. I am not much of a measurements kind of person, but there are some objectives that I look forward to in comparisons. But as I said, some people may, can and will prefer 2000T over 2K, and that is just fine

anything beyond 120db dynamic range is over and beyond human hearing

Yeaaaaa marketing words and real numbers dont seems to align

As the price also suggest it is not supposed to exceed the sp2k.
But who knows maybe we are here to get a real surprise and have flagship sound like sp2k.

One thing for sure! The T has the new teraton technology and that alone supposed to be superior sound over previous daps.

I dont know until my ears confirms it
