I had a mishap - may dcs Rossini is in repair and I compared ak 1000 vs se200 with passlabs xa30.8 and Wilson Sabrina. The difference between the two dacs is material to such a degree, which I could not appreciate before. When listening vs Rossini 1000m was materially worse. Still good, but not excellent. Now I am listening the same music with se200 (ak dac) and the difference has reduced Great-York. Well eine a&k with your se200. BTW Rossini is still a league per se.

Hey guys. Has anyone owned both dx240 (ideally amp8 mk2) and se200?

I am curious about how they compare in terms of SQ? Soundstage, dynamics separation etc. I have briefly heard both. But too far apart to figure the difference..

UI, connectivity, battery, size of dap is irrelevant at this point as i know both brands well and what to expect from both in each of those criteria

We have confirmed that the Apple USB-C Digital Multiport Adapter will work. Others have had sucess using a USB-C hub in between the M1 Mac and player.

Waiting for more information on a possible firmware update soon to fix the issue on the SE200. Will share more when I have info.

Nuetron player and PowerAmp are not supported on any AK DAP.

Firmware will be released for the SE200 the 1st week of July that will include the fix for connections to M1 based Macs. I'll update if the timeline changes.

Firmware update V. 1.40 is now available for the SE200. This update contains a number of stability improvements as well as bug fixes. Some of the bigger fixes include:

1. Wi-Fi stability improvements when using streaming services, including fix for random disconnection issues
2. BT connection improvements
3. Fix for connectivity issues when using M1 processor-based Macs

The AK Connect app for iOS only contains Tidal. You can, however, use any DLNA based app with AK players. My personal favorite is mconnect, which is available for free for Android and iOS or a paid version with no ads. The mconnect app has both Tidal and Qobuz streaming enabled in app.
