I want a pair of earphones that are bascially a step up in qaulity and mainly bass to the regular ipod and £5 earphones i normally get.
After endless forum reading im kinda coming to the conclusion that the majority of people would say the cx-300s are a good option especially for budget bass earphones.
But everyones said like  "they're a good option if your willing to pay $70" or something similar. And these ones on amazon.co.uk are £17!?
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sennheiser-CX-300-Ear-Canal-Headphones/dp/B001CNEUW8/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1284737992&sr=8-6

So... are they genuine and is there anyone that would truely NOT recommend them.  Or any real better options in your opinion.
Thanks in advance.
PS  first post a woo!

oh yer and if it helps... i listen to alot of real heavy bassline dubstep... not really dubstep coz its really heavy but yer... just to give you a general idea.

Always check the date of any topics you are browsing through, things have moved on a bit from when these were first released. I seriously doubt amazon would ever sell fakes and £17 is about standar price for the cx300ii. Also these are the cx300 (not ii) first released in about 2004 (someone will know when). With the number of earphones on the market I can't recommend you buy them, If you're set on sennheiser the more recent one's are better. i have the cx271 and they're not bad, others mentioned are the cx250, cx281, cx280, cx350. If you're open to other makes then ME electronics M9 is a favourite of mine (http://www.meelec.com/) also look up the Visang R02 on ebay, there are lots of other options and most of them are better ones than the cx300.

Also, Welcome to Head-Fi!
