The silicone tips sounds best with the Shure SE535, but I'm worried about popping my ear when removing them due to having an air tight seal.

The foam tips sounds too "dark" or "muffled" in my opinion, but that's what I always uses due to worries about popping my ears with the silicone tips.

I can't imagine them popping?  Are you adding 10-15 psi then plugging your nostrils?

You ears nose and throat are all connected.  If you are worried, just gently dislodge the seal in a twisting motion, then take them out.

Or you could open your mouth as wide as you can to equalize the pressure when you insert and remove them since it`ll open up your eustachian tubes. I wouldn`t bother with most iem`s since they don`t seal enough to cause any kind of damage, sometimes my klipsch x10`s, which have a very tight seal, can get a bit uncomfortable, i just use this trick, you can hear the small amount of air rushing out, good on planes too, with or without iem`s it helps with pressure changes.
