Beyerdynamic sells leather pads for $35.00 & shipping, and leatherette for $20.00. Do they improve bass or overall sound?
Are Leather pads for DT880's worth it?

They're guaranteed to increase bass. whether that's an improvement is up to you.
I've tried my Beyer leather pads on my DT-880 and I didn't like it at all. That airy,clean bass was ruined.

Same here. Put gen. Leather pads on 880............and took them off.
