I really like the look and feel of the current D2k wire so I'm gonna put up a WTB d5k wire up on the forum.
Are Canare Star Quad an improvement over stock D2000?

The D5k wire does not bind up as much as the D2k and is much better built. You may try emailing Alex at APureSound and see if he has an old one lying around.

Good idea, seems like they do a lot of D5000 recabling. Oh I see that it took you almost 2 months to get a stock cable here in the forum! >< that's some patience!

The D5000 cable is nice internally, but the exterior sleeving suffers the same fate as the D2000. Tight bends cause the cotton to show through the black sleeving.
