I have recently purchased B&W PX8 headphones. I have subsequently found out that with a Samsung S24 Ultra I am unable to make use of aptx HD or adaptive and am constrained to standard aptx. To get over this bought the Creative BT W6 dongle however I am unable to pair this with the phone.
I have tried to establish connection via the creative desktop app when connected to my Windows computer, however this doesn't identify the phone and when the dongle is in pairing mode the phone doesn't see it. I am keen to make better use of the capability of the headphones and would very much appreciate anyones advice/tips to establish the connection to the phone with the dongle

I've had the PX7 carbon and you can pair a couple of ways. From the phone to the headphones using the Creative app while the door is plugged in. With the PC to the headphones with the Windows software. I'd first use the B&W app and factory reset the headphones to start fresh for pairing.

Thanks for coming back to me, via the creative app on the phone, I don't even see the dongle as a device, I thought they were not listed. If I connect the dongle to the phone and go to the desktop app it doesn't list the device at all.
Via the desktop I am able to connect the headphones to the dongle and play aptx adaptive on my pc, but when I plug the dongle into the phone and it pairs to the headphones, when I try to play music via B&W app it says the PX8 can't be reached, I am guessing as the dongle is not listed as a bt device within the phone itself.

thankfully by leveraging the native music, video apps as opposed to the B&W app, I was able to connect the headphones to the dongle and produce output to the headphones. This does seem a little quieter than directly from the phone, but quality is significantly improved. One thing I have noticed however is that when the data source changes across apps or event selecting a new album within Tidal, the sound disappears and I need to toggle through different aptx standards i.e low latency and back to adaptive to get the sound back. Has anyone else experienced that behaviour?
