The specs state it has a 60mw output. Can I still use it with my Creek OBH-11 or Airhead? Maybe 60mw will be enough to drive Sen HD600's.

60mW = 30mW per channel.

You won't be able to use an external amp, because it doesn't have a line-out jack.

30mW/ch will drive HD600s, but not to their potential. Still, for a portable, 30mW/ch is a lot.

I am on the rebound from the Treo affair and am looking for a HD MP3 player. I had already tried to talk the Treo guys into a Firewire interface. What a perfect accessory for my Ti-book. Best of all, I know that it will come with an Apple driver!

5 gigs? that's not as much as I would hope for. I hope they make it upgradable to something around 10 gigs...

My son just informed me that he ordered an iPod........he's really into MP3s. One word pretty much sums up most of Apple's products...........elegant! The other guys don't even come close.

joe, you'll have to give us an audiophile's opinion on the sound!

Yeah, this is a very beautiful portable. i can't get over that interface, too! If I could upgrade the capacity later on then this is definitely the portable for me.

Well, I see I was severely beaten to the punch here.

THIS MP3 PLAYER IS SO DAMNED JAW DROPPINGLY COOL THAT I WANT ONE RIGHT NOW. Oh my bloody gawd...

I have never lusted over a product like I am LUSTING over this one...even my iBook!

Oh ****, I am going to HAVE to get one for Christmas. I guess this means giving up my Judy Garland DVD boxed set...but then again, now I can take ol' Joots with me whereever I go.

****ing Nomad I wouldn't want to carry around if you paid me...too damned big and it gets so hot!

A *thousand* songs in your pocket...

*drool*

That's it, I am SO getting one!

Yeah, it looks good. 5 gigs of music and 10 hours playback between "charges" are is plenty good.

But did you see the new iTunes 2:

Built-in 10-band equalizer with 22 EQ presets.
MP3 CD-burning capability — over 150 songs per disc.
New Crossfader for smooth transitions between songs.
Apple-engineered Sound Enhancer for richer audio playback.
Burns audio CDs up to twice as fast as before.

hee hee. i love macs.
