I just read somewhere that the drive itself is not upgradeable/replaceable. It would've been nice to be able to stick a new 2 TB drive in it when they come out.

I think that kind of disqualifies it as "server grade".

I'm sure there's a way to do it. Lots of things aren't user servicable that in reality aren't hard to do at all. Or you could just get an airport extreme and a usb drive.

So, related but pertinent question, if I want a 500gb drive today for a reasonable price that I can access directly with a squeezebox, what are my options?
