well 2 things come to mind here put on a passcode and don't be a dumb*** or apple make a simple update to make the feature only be able to be turned off server side through me.com :\

It's still possible to gray-list it with a carrier via IMEI.

Remote wipe is not about getting your phone back. It's about making sure that the information you have on your phone is safe from prying eyes. Same thing as encrypting your laptop's hard-drive. When it's stolen, if you get it back, cool, if not, then you know your information is safe.

Seems like Apple really wants businesses to use the iPhone (this, exhange support, etc).
