Got me some Grado 225i and on way home was well looking forward to it...but didn't check what plug they were and its not a 3.5.

Now back to doing another 40min round trip to get an adapter

I had one time where I thought my headphones didn't have a 1/8 inch and it turned out there was a 1/4 adapter already on it. Whoops.

I took the 1/4 to 1/8 inch adapter off my friends headphones, only to find there was a 1/8 to 1/4 under it.
He thought it was terminated as 1/4 inch, but it was an adapter and he just had to pull it off....lol
