Back again, resurrected after 8 years on!

DV 336se as pre using RCAs out to Aune x7s to Focal Elex.

Very good hybrid sound. I am using volume identical to HeatFan12.

Better yet it allows a balanced sound out of the DV 336se bypassing the headphone output.

So a balanced DV 336se that sounds better than the DV 336se on it's own!

3 years later now and I can assure you that the DV works great as a pre-amp giving warmth and depth

It works awesome as a pre-amp to power amp or active speakers for me. But feeding to the headphone amp may not work depending on the amp's power.. I got anemic response feeding to Topping L30 but it was fine with other more powerful headamps.
