If there are, let's get a thread going to exchange artists in this Genre. The music tends to be very minimalist in it's recording and as a result, has a very natural dynamic sound.

Here is what I listen to: Please add to the list

Blues Traveler
Joe Bonamassa
Larry Carlton (some)
Eric Clapton
Robert Cray
Fabulous Thunderbirds
Robben Ford
Indigenous
Etta James
BB King

Jimmy D Lane
Jonny Lang
Mark May
Susan Tedeschi
Coco Montoya
North Mississippi Allstars
Popa Chubby
Bonnia Raitt
Roomful Of Blues
Kenny Wayne Sheppard

There are some good suggestions on this list, but every time I hear "modern electric blues" I keep thinking of that band Blueshammer featured to hilarious effect in the movie Ghost World.

Maybe I'm stretching the word "modern" by including so many artists who had their best output during the 50s to the 70s (especially on Chess), but I would add:

Howlin' Wolf
Little Walter
Magic Sam
Muddy Waters
Sonny Boy Williamson
Otis Rush
Luther Allison
Bo Diddley
Son Seals
JB Hutto
