Was thinking of making a supertiny point to point Cmoy and encasing it in parafin wax inside something small.

If you live near a Fry's electronics, they sell a electronic contact sealant, its basically liquid insulation that solidifies.. Very nifty.

Don't try the wax with a Dynahi though

That's a pretty neat idea. I'd love to see something like a full size amp with nothing but that as its case. Don't know how good ventilation would be though

Oo! Maybe instead of tubes for that "warm glow", one could use a couple of wicks, light them, and dim the lights

Why not? You could make a Lava-Lamp amp! :p

It would not be the actual case, just used to keep things in place. Maybe in something like an Altoids gum tin.

Melt some candles in a saucepan and pour the melted wax over your amp, it's a good and cheap potting compound and one I used to use in loudspeaker crossovers. Be warned though, if that amp ever goes wrong and you need to change a part you're pretty much up **** creek without a paddle. Also, I wouldn't recommend candle wax in an amp that runs hot.
