I just tried the Ipaq 3635 with HD500s (let the beating begin), and it sounded surprisingly good. Way better than my Rio Volt. Guess it's time to dump the rio and find a cheap 256 meg CF card.

Just gave my brother (an audiophile for some 30 yrs or more) a listen to the Casio E-125 / Koss 35 rig.

Me..."You've got to understand these are low quality files ..."

Him..."Wow these headphones are good"

Me..."Its not CD quality..."

Him...*Blank stare*..."Not cd quality?...Well its the highest tape quality then...You know..metal Tapes .. a good deck.. These headphones are really good"

Me..."Yeah thats what I reckon"
