If a webpage is loading and there is no other sound?

It is weird but, if I listen closely I can hear a staticy sound which is making me worried my headphone may be going out..

no major problems if I am playing music or anything.. just a really weird experience.. also weird I don't hear it with my left ear as well..

It's unlikely that this has anything to do with your headphones. It's probably your sound card picking up some interference from one of the other internal components.

+1 your headphone has nothing to do with it.
i got one of my laptops where i can hear  almost each packet being sent by wifi. old 56k modem style!
