There's a pair of Koss ESP-950 electrostatic cans available at a reasonable price, but I don't know whether I should get excited or yawn. Anybody know these cans?

I have a very good idea about what that "reasonable price" is, and the reason I didn't jump long ago is not because of bad sound, but because the ESP-950s have had a VERY bad history of squealing problems, breakdowns, etc. If you have a bit of DIY skills maybe it'd be a good buy, otherwise I'd rather save up for a cheap Stax system, which supposedly surpasses the Koss already in sound.
