Any Slipknot or Mudvayne fans?

Of course. I like both of Slipknot's CD's but I really haven't got into Mudvayne. I do really like most of the other thrash/pop metal out there though (Marilyn Manson, System of a Down, Disturbed, Korn, Staind, Static-X).

I can see what you mean when you say that you never really got into Mudvayne for several reasons. One being that many people feel that they are just another nu-metal band who wanted to look weird. Also, Mudvayne first album didn't really have a lot of great songs. Sure, there was "Dig" and "Death Blooms", but otherwise not much. On the other hand, Slipknot had a ton of good songs on their first album which sold over one million copies. Also, IOWA has some awesome songs on it, which in my opinion are better than the ones on their first album. I really haven't listened to Mudvayne's new album very much because I have been too busy listening to other good bands like Diecast and Hatebreed!

they are just trying to distract you from the fact that they suck, it doesn't seem to be working. Prehaps they can add a few dozen or so drummers and bass players, that should be distracting enough.

I never really cared for metal. The vocals were always too sloppy and overdone for my taste. The closest I will go is Samhain...

I am not thread crapping, I am a big metal fan so I am allowed to make criticism, I have actually heard the band in question you know. However, he can listen to whatever he wants, it's perfectly ok with me! I will never hold it against him, for that would be childish. I am NOT flaming any person, just the band he named himself after, which just so happens to be really crappy pop band.

I have that Samhain Box set, you should try getting it for yourself TimSchirmer for x-mas if you haven't already. Did you like Misfits Earth AD or was that too metal for you? I have all the Misfits albums as well, and all of the Danzig albums, excepted the last one, which I haven't gotten yet.

It quite good, it's neo-classical and it's basically variations on a theme about the fall of the angels. The last two tracks are self contain and based on different mythologies.

I guess I just assumed that Slipknot was asking to hear from other people who like Slipknot or Mudvayne because that's usually what I mean when I use the word "listen." For me, you only listen to something if you like it. I've heard Britney Spears, but I don't listen to her. If that's what he meant, then KR was using DA's question to take a big old dump on Slip's thread to say that those bands suck without adding anything of substance.

But, if Slipknot is actually asking whether anyone has listened to those bands ever and wants their impressions of the bands, good or bad, then he was inviting comments both positive and negative. That would mean that KR wasn't crapping at all, since he has in fact listened to the bands, and I should have kept my mouth shut.

You can see how it could go either way, and since I'm not a moderator, I will refrain from passing judgment on people in the future. I should not have jumped to conclusions. I apologize KR.
