Hi

I am a music lover chasing for quality sound but I am deaf in my right ear.

I want to check if anyone can recommend me some DAP that have mono summing function with better sound quality than iPhone, which I am using right now.

I have tried to use iPhone as a source and connect to other DAC, however it doesn't work well as the sound from the DAC sounds crackling after I switch to mono in iPhone.

I never knew there were DACs with such a function, can't recommend any!

However there's obviously an error somewhere if the sound is crackling, maybe you should consider looking into that?

Maybe look at higher-end music players with an integrated DAC or not? I'm sure they have a mono function? If none of that works there are analogue solutions to the issue, I've seen signal converters for audio cables and it's not hard to make a custom circuit in the worst case!

Just an update

I have emailed to few DAP manufactures and they all replied that they do not have DAP with this function.

So I ended up building my own mono summing cable now!
