I've looked around and couldn't find any right angled RCA connector (not an adapter, a plug to solder) that is still in production.  There seem to be some by AudioQuest still available at some stores, and I read Accell also used to make them.  Though for some reason it looks like it's passed out, no more in production by any brand; only adapters.  I wanted to know if there's a reason to this, maybe some technical issue I'm not aware of.  Right now I'm considering those by AudioQuest but since they're very expensive I decided to ask before I buy.

The spacing on the rear panels of many (Id almost say most) home Audio / Visual components does not allow the use of right angle plugs. 
 
If your gear does allow it, they are awesome because they put less stress on the connectors.

By the way, how about an adapter instead of an angled connector ?  Should it degrade the sound quality ?

The adapter adds a little more brass in the way of the signal path. Unless you have super-sonic ears, I doubt you'll hear a difference
