Any news on the Questyle CMA Twelve?

Looks to me like outputs only, quite unusual decision considering the current mode amp is the star of the show not really the dac.

Even so im still thinking about getting it because the 650s balanced sounded so nice on the CMA400. I found the twelve model for £1,200.

İt is just sad we don't have analog in, it is a deal breaker for me, i know their technology from cma800r and heard lots of good things about it but at the end of the day generally we gonna need a better dac, for me the yggy or terminator...

I think in this case its only hurting sales, i could be wrong but to me it appears like they all use same complete dac chip 4490 and layout on the boards. It would have been nice to have AKM4497 at least on the Twelve. I believe the designer worked hard at marking the dac to flow in harmony with the amp section but its limiting peoples options who want r2r multibit or fpga style converters that they may already own or want to upgrade to in the future.

From some sources ive seen the dac section apparently has dual 4490s in the twelve but in all other models it appears to be a single chip.

Still dont know why they didnt go with dual 4497... but its the implementation what really counts of course and it does sound very good.

There is no dual DAC in Twelve. Where did you get this info from?
Single 4490 like in other models, CMA600i and 400i.

There is no info about dual DAC on Questyle website.

It looks like single chip for me.

The severe lack of communication from is very worrying, ive been trying to contact them for over 3 weeks and no responce. This doesnt leave me with any confidence at all, i feel like returning the 400i and canceling the order of Twelve.
