Aphex Twin started an anonymous soundcloud account a couple of days ago and has been steadily dumping unreleased music (mostly from the SAW/early 90s era) on it. 59 tracks so far!

Note the username has changed a couple of times already (by adding an extra 0 before the trailing 1) and may well change again before he's done.

Thank-you, early 1990s was a great time for electronic music! AFX !

So fun!

Wonder why he didn't release this stuff proper and make millions like Bieber did?

I saw something about this somewhere and didn't think it would be real or worth checking out but maybe I will.

It's confirmed as real now. 109 tracks so far! The majority of them good, a lot of them are fantastic. He could easily have produced a couple more albums out of this stuff ...

He's made the odd comment on the uploads, the last was:

none of these uploads have been mastered by the way so you might need to tweak the eq a bit, like this one needs a bit more low added etc. Might re-do the most popular ones but rather be makin new stuff

At least he isn't just cashing in. People would buy anything he puts out. I'm really liking Syro so that was a nice surprise a few months ago when I was wondering if there was anything new. :) I still haven't listened to the huge collection I got off Archive.org though

Time to download the full zip again and I never got around to listening to any of it yet. Hope there is at least one good thing in there. :)

140 tracks now, all downloadable at 320 kbps!!

Warp (the record label that own the 'aphex twin' name) must be going mental ... there's enough high-quality matrial here for a couple of compilations.

I downloaded the zip again last night but I think it was updated again so maybe from now on I will just get the individual files. I'm sure 320 is plenty for Richards left overs right, at least its higher than the Syro I got off iTunes and that sounds pretty good to me. Of course I was going to get it on CD but I had to get something with the iTunes gift cards I got for Xmas.

After I used up the last $10 that Acoustic Instruments was released.

Loaded up last nights zip to the iPod so Im a little closer to actually giving it a listen, maybe tonight. So any keepers so far?
