The Veronicas - Hook Me Up

Teenage pop without the massive cheese that comes with pop tunes.
Very good electropop beats by producer Greg Wells which really make the album good. A 'dark' sounding album, particularly in it's genre of teenage-targeted pop.

Jay-Z - The Black Album
Mainstream Rap that's actually mastered well! No Loudness War here!

Eminem - The Marshall Mathers LP
One of the most lyrically clever [in terms of storytelling, not so much flow or words] albums ever. Also one of the most paradoxial albums ever production wise, that being produced well but mastered horribly.

A Wilhelm Scream - Ruiner (Almost perfect pacing throughout the album, so every song feels right at home in its place on the album.)
Coheed and Cambria - In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3 (Amazing songwriting beginning to end, and if you follow the story, you can really love every song. Again, wonderfully paced.)
Mogwai - Mr Beast (For whatever reason, the ending of this album always seems to come too soon, but it's oddly satisfying, too.)
