Looking to get one soon... what's the consensus here..

I like decent SQ, good battery life, good storage, decent UI speed.. Im torn!

How about the 8GB Sansa Fuze? It has a Micro SD slot and can be upgraded to a 24GB play or even 40Gb when 32GB Micro SD cards come out. The SQ is meant to be awesome too (see fuze appreciation thread).

really depends on what you want out of the player.

There is zero point recommending X player or Y player without listing what you want out of it.
It's silly.

Anyway, iAudio 7 is another option and in fact better option than D2 if you don't want videos.

Longest battery life = the Cowon's.

I'd say the zen, easier music transfer, better firmware and sound better ( to me )
