I'm trying to keep the parts cost low, but splurged on the knob, heh. I already picked up radio shack 271-215 at my local store http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2062298 I decided to bump up the powersupply caps, and go for huge C2's because I'm not going for a mint tin.

This will be my first audio DIY, but I'm not new to electronics and soldering. I have a pair of Koss UR-40s which I will use with this, they have the 60ohm portapro driver. Target sources are my ipod, laptop, desktop pc, etc. Going with only battery power for now, planning on using two NiMH 9v's or two Lithium Li-MnO2 primary 9v's

Hmm, so the Radio Shack pot I listed above is not stereo. The "dual-ganged" stereo pot that radio shack sells is 100k, so I won't use that. I went to Frys and they didn't have any stereo pots, so I went ahead and ordered the Panasonic EVJ one from Digikey.

While I was at Frys I picked up two energizer lithium 9v batteries, and an enclosure that comes w/ a protoboard.
