Woohoo, I actually converted a non-believer today. A coworker came into my cube and wanted suggestions on a good set of portable headphones since he was getting an MP3 player. I suggested a couple of different headphones and actually took out my PCDP and portable amp for him to try. I had the Beyer 770, Sony V6, and Sony 888s for him to listen to. Of course he rolled his eyes at me and said I had spent too much money on these headphones.

He said he wanted small headphones so the 770 was out. Altthough he did say they sounded pretty good. Then I had him try the V6 which he liked but they were still too big. The last headphone was the Sony 888s. He got out his usual earbud to do a comparison. This was the Koss Plug sold by Radio Shack. After going back and forth a few times he said there actually was a difference. He said the 888s do sound much better. This is a big statement for someone who is not an audiophile. Since I had 2 pairs of these I decided to sell him my extra pair for cheap because he was giving me a hard time about having to support a wife etc...

That's kind of you... maybe he'll get hooked and buy all your current gear when you get an Omega 2
