No need to raise the hackles of Pono owners. The simple fact that is the Pono has done more to raise the awareness of hi-fi to the masses than just about anything in recent days. It also has raised the awareness of hifi snake-oil
 
Ok, that out of the way, the uAmp looks interested because of it's size and cost. It will be  less expensive that the e11. It will also be considerably smaller
FiiO E11: 91 x 56 x 13
uAmp: 43 x 43 x 9
 
92g vs 26g for weight. The uAmp will be much lighter. 
 
Unfortunately I can't find into on output power other than "+8db"
 
The distortion on the Fiio is speced lower
 
I think the uAmp will appeal to the average person who may have upgraded their headphone or IEMs, but hasn't fought the audiophile virus. You know, the masses.

This looks like an interesting project indeed. Too bad there is so little information about the actual device. What do you guys think would this offer any benefit with B&W P5 S2 listened through an iPad?
