Those pics are AWESOME!! I love pictures of shock waves, fireballs, smoke rings, etc. It always reminds me of doing experiments in flow visualization is water tunnels and wind tunnels. Cool stuff!

Well you could have jumped on the poor ressurection of the Pineapple hate thread. Seems that the DP's from the diary and TMAC threads have mounted a last ditch effort there:)

Yeah:) Check out the fluid dynamics in action on that broadside from the Missouri, try emulating that in a sim:)
 
You also really get an appreciation of the backwash from a mortar. No wonder the poor squaddies wind up with scrambled heads after a half hour barrage.
