heck, I live in a city whose most famous statue is of a little boy peeing... and we have the female version as well

and I was born in a town where we honor each year a statue of a man drinking 'Jenever' (some sort of gin) straight from a barrel while sitting on a pig

...still come o think about it... this last one is only 32 km from the Netherlands so there might be some truth in 'only there' remarks

PS: to 'erect' a statue is indeed the right choice of words here
