I plan to get a Musical Fidelity VDAC. I read the DAC on the XCAN v8P is not good. True or not? Can you chain it with the VDAC, as a pass through? Source => VDAC => XCAN v8P
or Source => VDAC => Graham Slee Solo.

VDAC is a decent entry point, although I would DEFINITELY recommend upgrading from that when you have a little more money on hand.

If you get the D7000s and love the stock sound and don't plan to mod them, then go for the X-Can. If you plan to mod them, I'd go for something more neutral so that it's more flexible.

I own D-7000 and I can say you that Casea Lyra with individual setup for Denons is excellent amazing solution (SS amp) and costs only 600 euro.

just bought the D7000, so looking for amps for that.

GH slee Solo SRG1/2 with PSU1 is a very nice combination. Have not heard the other amps.

The difference between SRG1 and 2 is the bass as i have heard. I have the SRG1 and do not want more bass with the D7000, but maybe the HD650s bass could benefit from a SRG2
