Dogs can be evil sometimes! Probably because you paid more attention to your stereo! My close friend had the original Ampzilla in late 70's I think. Very industrial looking. I thought those amps sounded great.

Silver. After much deliberation, I'm building everything in silver.

Aluminum is silver, so that means no painting, no anodizing, no powdercoating, none of that. I wetsand it through about 2,000 grit and then rub it out with an aluminum polish I found at Pep Boys. It's not as good as commercial polishing, but it leaves an attractive, shiny and vintage-looking finish. I'm also planning to experiment with brushing the aluminum and having it media blasted for a textured finish.

Depends on where it is IMO. In my room I'm moving everything to black in a way.... I just like the color black though.
