I had listened a WA2 with stock tubes.  It was alright for HD800 and terrible for low impedence headphones (I can't remember whether I was using a TH900 or ATH-W3000ANV). But I think it really shine with a T1.

WA2 is pretty much terrible for low impedance headphones in general. at least mine is, even with my higher output voltage DAC, its still not enough to properly drive a low impedance. its a little better, but not as good as other amps.  wasn't too bad with th-900 though i did prefer the WA6-SE. the woo is pretty much meant for hd 800, t1, hd 650, hd 600, and the 250/600 ohm beyers, and maybe the hd 700

Try Violectric V200. I found that it work quite well with both TH900 and HD800. It also works very well with other low impedence headphones like the Audio Technica W series.
If you are just after an amp for HD800 then the Phonitor is very good, but it is not as good with TH900.

The V200 does sound good on HD800's.   I prefer a good tube amp, but the V200 is very good.   I often wish I'd kept mine.
