Personally I have had 4 DACs thus far ( on the low side for some on this forum), and I will be getting my 5th DAC next year.

Edit: DACs 1 through 5 range from $100 (Modi) to $2,700+ (Yggdrasil MIB).

ok thank you another question, rn i have zen ifi v3 dac and shanling m5 ultra dap that i can use as a dac which one should i use as a dac to pair with the amp (the shanling m5 ultra has AKM AK4499EX + AK4191 chipset and the ifi zen dac v3 has Burr-Brown chipset) that will be my last question about my setup :)
MindBreak is right. It costs you nothing to play around and see for yourself what makes you the happiest. That can be a fun experiment, wherein you'll learn more about the gear you have and their strengths and weaknesses.

It also gives you an idea of what your next DAC might be when you are ready to upgrade. Knowing which types of DACs pair well with your gear goes a long way to figuring out the next steps in your audiophile journey. 😁

The only DAC that I ever used and realy liked is the Chord Mojo2. I havent used any other non ESS dacs though. So yeah all I can say I recomment to not use ESS chip based dacs. In my experience they realy pronounce trebble peaks and that is NOT what the Arya stealth needs.

For amps .. well the Cayin HA-3 made me laugh in joy when I tryed the combination. So I recommend to check the world of tube amps out.

If you want to go solid state I suggest the Mjolnir 3. It softens the trebble a bit and sounds very pleasing (I guess its distortion but who realy cares why).
Other then that its dynamic and does not muffle any details. Atleast not that I could have heard.

They wanted something from that site in particular, but yes as far as SS amps go the Mjolnir 3 is one of the better pairings. Also one of the reasons I personally own a Mjolnir 3. The only issue is the heat it puts out makes it poorly suited for some use cases.

Most DACs that would be worth the upgrade are in the $800 + price range in my opinion. There are some exceptions, but for the most part that is where the next big jump is.
What dacs would you recommend to pair with the arya stealth (for soundstage, and a bit of punch) i will check if i have it in my country

thx another question rn i have this cables https://www.amazon.com/Aune-4-4mm-Balanced-Headphone-56-core/dp/B0CQLLR15J do you think a better quality cables will make a bigger diffrence then a new dac?
Equipment first cables last. Can cables make a difference? In my opinion they do, but I would square away all other components first before going for higher end cables. On the same subject, if you have less resolving DACs then the cable upgrade would make little to no difference. If you need a balanced cable to hold you over, then the one you linked looks like it is of decent quality. I have not used it personally though. Plenty of good cable manufacturers out there for when the time comes for an upgrade, but hold off on the $$$ cables for now. 😉

Hi everyone im pretty new to the audiophile world
Recently i buy the hifiman arya stealth using it with shanling m5 ultra dap
I want to get the most out of my arya stealth for music listening
What amp should i buy
Or should i buy dac+amp?
I have the ifi zen v3 dac also but im not using it rn
Amy recommendation?
I love the Arya Stealth. I run it with a Schiit Jotunheim2 with one of their miti-bit DAC cards. The Aryas really sing with a Calss A amp. Since you mention that you already have a DAC, you could just get the Jot by itself. I have not heard the Shanling DAP, but I have heard the ifi Zen, and I think the Jot w/ multibit DAC card outperforms the Zen by quite a bit (no pun intended). YMMV, of course. Although the Aryas can be powered by more modest amps, they really do improve greatly with higher poser class A amps.
