i'll just leave here 3-4 must have ambient masterpieces - the backbone of any serious ambient collection.

Brian Eno - Ambient 4 : On Land (best Eno album, imho)
Aphex Twin - Selected Ambient Works 2 (85-92 gets the hype, but this is his magnum opus)
Future Sound of London - Lifeforms (genius stuff)
Talk Talk - Spirit of Eden / Laughing Stock ( not really ambient , but masterpiece nevertheless)

Great to see some some people here love Eno.Got most of his work. At 15y my older brother introduced him...thanks bro! Eno's one of the best and a pioneer.
