The samples sound really nice, they're probably binaural recordings.

And i see a pair of Grados in the "Before you listen" page :D

Interesting presentations of the recordings and it's a very nice website.

If you like binaural recordings, checkout my blog. I have posted some recordings there.

Thanks LFF for the link and great recording job. What kind of dummy do you use? I always wanted a dummy head for this kind of recordings however the ones that I find like this one is way above my budget:

which is about $8,000.00

Here's another site selling Binaural nature recording. Ignore the ridiculous prices, I bought a few on Amazon, used for $6.00 or $7.00.
They truly are stunning when listened to on my RS-1, I don't have a clue about the Monster Turbines.....but somehow I'm a bit skeptical.

I have a custom made dummy head with custom built mics. The design is really only a prototype and I am working on four other recording set-ups. All of the recording microphones I am working on should be rather cheap to produce and will be either holophonic or binaural. Once I settle on one that works the best and looks good, I'll make a few more to sell on ebay.

The KU100 is actually considered inexpensive. I think the HEAD acoustics dummy head costs more than $15,000.00! Regardless, I love these types of recordings. Really puts you there. I'll be posting some more recordings later tonight.

Bought several of their downloads the other day and only had time lately to listen to a little bit of each. However, from what I heard they should be great for my future meditation sessions. One thing surprised me after I unzipped and loaded them onto my Zune. Each one has two versions of the track. One they call "Full Spectrum" and the other "Earbud Optimized".As I normally don't like anything inserted in my ears and only have full size headphones,I can't do an A-B test just yet.I think my son has an extra set of earbuds I can borrow long enough to try those tracks and see if I can tell any difference.

For the iTunes app - No

My absolute favorite is the Thunderstorms. Oceans & Rivers are pretty suite. The wind ones are okay - to me it sounds a lot like white and pink noise.
